Scottish Episcopal Church
Rosslyn was originally built as a Collegiate Chapel in the 15th century, but was never completed. The exclusive remit of its monks was to pray in perpetuity for the souls of the builder and benefactor Sir William Sinclair, the then Earl, and his family. The Chapel was sacked during the Reformation, the building fell into disuse and subsequently disrepair, until in 1862 it was reconsecrated under the auspices of the Scottish Episcopal Church.

Since then, services have been held regularly in the Chapel in accordance with the Canons of that Church which is part of the Anglican Communion. The congregation numbers about 120 and has a Priest, the Reverend Dr JE Roulston. There is also an Assisting Priest, the Reverend William Mounsey.
The Chapel's congregation is administered by the Vestry which supports the Priest and arranges services and congregational activities.
The congregation benefits enormously from the maintenance of the Chapel being carried out by the Rosslyn Chapel Trust. Although the congregation make a contribution, the help of the RCT allows the congregation to look outwards beyond the building to support charitable causes.
