22nd June 2012

There have been some exciting developments here at the Chapel over the past few weeks. Much of the north facade is now back in full view, while public access through the south door has also been restored. Scaffolding and tarpaulins have been taken down from both these areas, revealing the rosey hues of the freshly-conserved masonry, not to mention one or two exterior carvings which we have not seen for a while - such as the monkey which hangs upside down above the south door, ready to snatch ladies' bonnets on their way into the Chapel.

Now all we need is plenty of summer sunshine to let us get outside and appreciate it all!
